Privacy Policy
Overview
Now Batting is a mobile app that helps parents, coaches, and teams create youth baseball and softball walk-up intros. Users can create teams and players, generate announcer-style voice intros, choose built-in music clips, import local audio files, and play intros during games.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how users can request account deletion.
Information We Collect
Account Information
If you create an account, we may collect your email address, name or profile name, login/authentication information, and subscription status. We use Supabase for authentication and account management.
Team and Player Information
Users may create teams and player profiles. This may include team names, player names, jersey numbers, positions, lineup order, pronunciation notes or phonetic spellings, and player photos if uploaded. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information that is not needed for using the app.
Audio and Music Information
Now Batting may store generated announcer intro audio, audio metadata, intro style, timing, volume, playback settings, built-in music clip selections, and imported local audio file references or uploaded files depending on app settings.
Generated voice intros are created using ElevenLabs through secure server-side functions. ElevenLabs API keys are not exposed in the mobile app.
Payment and Subscription Information
Now Batting may offer paid subscriptions or purchases through Apple App Store billing, Google Play billing, and/or RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store full payment card details. Payments are handled by the app store or payment provider. We may receive subscription status information, such as whether your account has an active Pro subscription.
Device and Usage Information
We may collect basic technical information needed to operate and improve the app, such as device type, app version, error logs, playback or feature usage events, sync status, and crash reports.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage user accounts, let users create teams and player profiles, generate announcer-style player intros, store and sync team data across devices, enable offline playback during games, manage subscriptions and access to Pro features, provide customer support, improve app performance, and protect against fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
AI Voice Generation
Now Batting uses ElevenLabs to generate announcer-style voice intros. When a user generates an intro, the player intro script may be sent securely to ElevenLabs. This may include player-related information needed to generate the intro, such as a player name, jersey number, position, and pronunciation override.
We do not expose ElevenLabs API keys in the mobile app. Voice generation is handled through secure server-side functions.
Audio Files and User-Imported Music
Now Batting may allow users to import local audio files for walk-up music. Users are responsible for making sure they own, have licensed, or have permission to use any audio they import into the app. This includes any rights needed for public performance, team use, league use, or event use.
Built-in tracks provided by Now Batting are made available for use within the app.
Storage and Sync
Now Batting uses Supabase for backend services, including authentication, profiles, teams, players, uploaded photos, generated audio metadata, and storage.
The app is designed to support offline-first use. Some team, player, and audio data may be stored locally on your device so game mode can work even without an internet connection. When internet access is available, the app may sync supported data with the cloud.
Children's Privacy
Now Batting is intended for use by parents, coaches, and authorized team organizers. Because the app may include youth player names, photos, jersey numbers, or team information, users should only add information they have permission to use. Coaches, parents, and guardians are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent before uploading or entering information about minors.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children without appropriate parent, guardian, or authorized adult involvement.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell user personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, including Supabase, ElevenLabs, RevenueCat, Apple App Store or Google Play, and analytics, crash reporting, or support tools if used. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no app, website, or online service can guarantee complete security. Users should keep their login credentials secure and avoid sharing account access.
Data Retention
We keep account, team, player, audio, and subscription-related information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms.
If you delete your account, we will delete or disable associated account data according to our account deletion process, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup retention requirements.
Account Deletion
You may request account deletion from inside the app or through our support page. Account deletion requests will be processed within 48 hours.
Deleting your account may remove your profile, teams, players, generated audio, uploaded photos, and related app data. Some billing records may remain with Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other payment providers as required for purchase history, tax, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Your Choices
You may update or delete team and player information in the app, delete imported audio files where supported, cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play settings, request account deletion, or contact support with privacy questions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app or by other reasonable means.
